Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Colombo

Orientation
Orientation and training on arrival, including health and safety training, culture training, project-specific training, and area orientation tour.

Day 2

Culture training, area tour around Galle town, including visit to historical Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a barbeque night.

Day 3-5

Working in Turtle Hatchery

Typical tasks will include feeding and cleaning the turtles, preserving turtle eggs from predators, taking care of older and disabled turtles, cleaning the tanks and the general hatchery area.

Day 6

Environment Day

This day is dedicated to beach cleaning in the Galle area to preserve the local marine ecosystem.

This day will also include a yoga session.

Day 7

Community Day

This day is dedicated to building awareness about sea turtles and their value in the marine ecosystem among the local community.

This will be followed by a movie night.

Day 8-10

Working in Turtle Hatchery

Typical tasks will include feeding and cleaning the turtles, preserving turtle eggs from predators, taking care of older and disabled turtles, cleaning the tanks and the general hatchery area.

Day 11

Environment Day

This day is dedicated for beach cleaning in the Galle area to preserve the local marine ecosystem.

This will be followed by a yoga workshop.

Day 12

Community Day

 This day is dedicated to building awareness about sea turtles and their value in the marine ecosystem among the local community.

This will be followed by a barbeque night. 

Day 13

Culture and Heritage

Cultural visit to a Buddhist temple, followed by movie night.

Day 14

Return Home

Transfer to the airport to catch your flight back home.
