Am I eligible to undertake this volunteering program ,in Sri Lanka? / What is the age requirement to undertake this expedition?

The student should be a minimum of 15 years at the time of undertaking this Sri Lanka expedition.

Is travel insurance included in the cost of the trip

Do I require a visa for my trip and will I get assistance on the Visa application?

It is the responsibility of the participant to review entry requirements for Sri Lanka and to obtain any necessary travel documents, including a passport and any applicable visa. However, on request The Explorers Lab will assist you with all necessary documents for visa application for your specific destination. Are the airline fees included in the volunteering program cost?

The program fee does not include the air ticket. However, you may write to us at for any assistance in procuring a ticket

Are all meals covered as part of these Sri Lanka expeditions?

Yes, the program fees cover all three meals per day (based on the itinerary), however, any personal expenses on snacks, etc. will be an additional expense.

Should I expect any other expenses on these community service programs?

All expenses towards the project, accommodation, full board meals, and transportation are covered in the program cost. However, it is advised to carry some personal funds for any personal expenditure such as tips
or gratuities, personal shopping, etc.
